As members of the Commonwealth it is my firm belief that we have an absolute obligation to help our Cypriot friends in time of need. Some time ago the UK lent Ireland 5bn Euro to help them when they were in financial difficulties. This being fact surely the richer Commonwealth countries, including the UK, should offer Cyprus similar aid to cover their current needs. This loan would be offered at very favourable rates over a long period of time. Additionally we should offer them every help in getting out of the Euro and returning to the CY Pound.

Mate... the UK doesn't even pay what they own us for the bases. Personally I think the whole "Commonweath" thing is ridiculous. Totally unrelated countries with the only thing common that they were under British rule
