One further point. Is Russia going to take the seizure of Russian assets lying down? Isn't there any pressure on Putin to do something? Everyone talks of the seizure of billions of pounds worth of Russian money as it's inevitable. Don't these people have a voice? Good lawyers?

Putin may well have wealth stashed here.... despite a modest official income he is reputed to be the Richest man in Russia worth up to Euro 40 Billion.....(and you think our politicians are a bit dodgy?)

According to Forbes magazine the Russians have lost €3.5bn in a day. What is Putin going to do about that?

They should have given the money to Christofias when he asked for it. Now they're getting burned and complaining. Putin should've thought about all this before.

Anyway, what's with this Gazprom deal?
