I got to agree with GR. Throughout history we have only experience gross incompetence and treason. I am sick and tired being bashed over the head continuously by big powers only because we are incompetent fools trying to be clever or because our sovereignty has never really been respected by our leaders. All I want, and all most Cypriots should ever want is a united Cyprus, a truly sovereign Cyprus led by individuals that respect the RoC. I just want a society that awards individuals on merit, and which encourages innovation and competition.
Too often we just make daft decisions which damage us. Some things our leaders did bought Turkish troops to Cyprus.
Analyze our history from 1955 and onwards objectively and see how these things bought us to the mess we are in today.
Well, it is obviously impossible to turn the clock back...
However, this fiasco MUST open our eyes to the greed and incompetence of those that rule over us. Both here in Cyprus and in the EU.
These self-serving greedy and incompetent career politicians care nothing about us or our businesses - we are just a source of tax that they can waste on their vanity schemes or stuff into their own pockets.
I guarantee that nobody in power lost money in this last farce... Once again hard-working taxpayers are punished (or denied access to their cash) due to the incompetence and greed of others.
The first step is to open the eyes of others, point out the incompetence, point out the waste, the global warming scandal, green taxes which are nothing of the sort...
Then we can move on...
