Egemen Bagis, the alleged Europe Minister for the Turkey-Kurdistan Confederation has been at it again.

This time giving us a good laugh on Istanbul's Bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games.

The Clown is reported as telling journalists (who must have busted their guts with laughter) at the International Sports Summit in Ankara, that it will help Turkey's EU Accession Process.

Someone really ought to tell the Clown that it would help such a bid if Turkey stopped throwing journalists and Kurdish children in to jail.

... and of course for Turkey to clear out of CY...!!!

Always one not to disappoint his fans Bagis the Clown has given us a second good laugh this week with his comments on the referee in the Man Utd v Real Madrid match earlier this week...

This is how Hurriyet tells the joke...

..."Turkey's EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış has told a TV broadcaster that Cüneyt Çakır, a Turkish referee who was criticized by the British media due to his decisions in a Manchester United - Real Madrid game of the UEFA Champions League, refereed the match successfully and should dismiss the negative criticism.

Bağış said Turkey had not commented on the fanaticism of British football audiences so far, although it was well-known that the country’s football fans were prone to excessive behavior. “They should know their place,” Bağış said in response to the clamors of British newspapers.

“I want to address Cüneyt Çakır, who refereed the game very successfully...."
