Exhibition "The colour of truth…" :!: :!: :!:

This is an exhibition of works by Turkish Cypriot, Greek Cypriot, Syrian Cypriot and Italian Cypriot artists, brought together by "Together we can" Association - the Bicommunal Initiative of Relatives of Missing Persons and Victims of Massacres and War and the Nilgun Guney Art Studio.

Artists met relatives of "missing persons" from both communities, visited exhumation sites and spots where massacres took place in both parts of the island in 1963 and 1974.

Investigative journalist Sevgul Uludag co-facilitated the coming together of artists from the two sides of the island in a series of workshops together with artist Nilgun Guney. The workshops included testimonies from relatives of "missing persons" and victims of massacres, visits to the homes of victims of war and site visits to mass graves in both parts of the island.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Goethe-Institut in Cyprus.

The exhibition will be opened on the 15th of March 2013 at 6.30 p.m. in the gallery of the Goethe-Institut Cyprus (next to Ledra Palace hotel) in the presence of the artists.

Good luck to the exhibition and all those promoting reconciliation and good relationships between all Cypriots whether Turkish speaking or Greek speaking...
