I'm moving to Cyprus in December, and still can't decide whether to buy a decentish second hand car in Cyprus, or in the UK and import it.
I'm thinking about a fairly bog-standard 1.4 litre (such as Rover 45, or smallish peugeot) to keep excise and reg duties small, and age 2-3 years.
I reckon that to import such a vehicle, and pay the duties due (I won't be entitle to a duty free vehicle), will cost arount CYP 1500. Will this be worthwhile the hastle, or am I better off waiting till in Cyprus (i.e. price of similar vehicle in Cyprus is approx same as in UK + CYP 1500).
Appreciate anyone's opinion on this; problem I have is formulating an impression of prices of similar cars in Cyprus.
Thanks.
