ERrrr dont change the fact they are bankrupt and that Turkey have the capacity to ask for the 2020 Olympics. You people really need to get a reality check.

More doom and gloom for the Turkish economy:

Turkey Can’t Catch a Break

Turkey’s markets are taking back-to-back beatings from both U.S. Federal Reserve and political unrest at home. With Turkish assets and the lira among the worst performers in emerging markets, the central bank in Ankara is facing its first challenge in more than a year against investor flight — just as the country’s external-financing needs are widening.

Ah yes, the 2020 Olympics, that might just about the limit of Erdogan's Propaganda ... just asking for them is about the limits of Erdogan's capacity...

You see it doesn't cost a great deal to bid for the 2020 Olympics, a few glossy brochures, a web-site with some forward-looking animations, a lot of press releases, receiving and touring the the IOC delegations, but it's a completely different matter to actually find the real serious money, the 20 Billion Dollars it'll cost to put them on.

Indeed we might be reminded of the fiasco of "project of the century" or "kktc su temin projesi", the fanciful scheme to bring water to "trnc" through drinking straws that gets no further than a few photoshopped pictures in a web-site and some press releases, but then again some people will believe even the unbelievable.
