GiG you really are making some assumptions to make what someone else said fit into your narrow biggoted world view - particularly when you were not a party to the conversation ( and he does not have to say what he thinks I want to hear)- this was in fact the second time this Cypriot had made a similar remark: the first was just after the crossings opened and he went through (to Kyrenia) to see what it was like - his gratuitous comment then was that once he saw the minarets on the mosques and all the development he new it was going to be very hard to reverse the situation. He was upset about it.

So how on earth can you conclude that actually seeing the Turkish troops and settlers leave isn't going to be the best news GCs get?

Oh I agree it is: its just that for a large number of Cypriots living here trying to find a way of living in the current economic crises it is NOT a priority and indeed I suspect som e at least would accept virtually any settlement if it brought them some sort of financial security for their families.

They're both unfit for human consumption.

I would just like to point out that Black Pudding is probably a very Ancient Greek Dish, and very nice it is too!

Tell your mate, Cyprusgrump, to stop moaning and stay put. :)
