Coincidentally, was watching a doc last night on TV here in GB about the other memorable event from '74, the Lions Tour of SA.

Quite a blast from the past and very interesting stuff.

Were they also condemned just like every other touring barbarian side because of Apartheid. I bet they were.

Well to start with yes of course they were, but as they gave the Racially Pure Springboks a near white-wash in the Tests and won every provincial match to boot, they attracted a huge respect and support from your coloured former fellow country-persons.
