Maybe you should wait until your depression is cured.

My advice to anyone thinking of a move to Cyprus is rent before you buy. Don't sell until 5 years of being in Cyprus.

I've seen a number of people ,even Cypriot born people, sell their homes move to Cyprus and then they cannot adjust to Cyprus. You need contacts in Cyprus and a support network.

They are talking about entering a triple recession soon, and they're toying with the idea that this might not be a recession anymore for Britain, but a depression instead. The food sector is suffering the most here.

Where i am currently living (I cant afford at the moment to rent my own place, so we're living with my mum in a 2 bedroom flat), I would need around 600-650 pounds a month to rent, without the utilities, and the council tax etc. And this doesnt include a garden or anything else. It's pretty dire.

The UK is set for even worse. Sterling has dropped another 5% against the Euro. They're talking of printing more money again. All they seem to do is give it to the bankers!

- Still, you really need to set up some connections in Cyprus, as someone has suggested, and sort out a job for at least one of you before you embark on this commendable journey. At the moment you at least have your mother to help out. You'll need her even more when the baby comes. :)
