It wasn't an one sided GC EU entry. The entirety of Cyprus entered the E.U, but the participation of the Northern Occupied bit is suspended because of the illegal presence of the Turkish military.

I have the best solution and that is two states seperated by 40km of sea.

On one side there is Turkey and on the other, the republic of EU Cyprus. End the ocupation, resettle all the settlers back to Turkey, give the GC's back what does not belong to you and stop imposing yourself in their country, homes and politics. Just leave them in peace so you can have yours.

Exactly you miss the whole point because it doesnt suit you, you cannot enter into any union unilaterally...you have to get our support, read your consitution. The EU if they had any teeth should have said hold on you are a divided island with problems we cannot accept you one sided into the union.
