Their parents are not Greek. Am I eligible to become English just because I speak English?
their parents came as immigrants to make a life in Greece, indeed. their children may know little of their parents' tongue, aren't they Greeks regardless born there, and then are their children denied a Greek identity because if you will, they may not look Greek, humour us kurupetos, what would you call them?
...English you say, to make an analogy, Cypriots are to British, as Greeks are to English, and you don't have to be English to be British; just a thought, is Britain moving toward a Bicommunal nature, what with Scots so able and the Welsh in need as well?
kurupetos, you resist what is the future, most respectfully i say, as a Greek, you do no service to the Principals which make it grand. sorry, i come from a "mixed" village, and more importantly, i love Cyprus. you resist and you deny, but you cannot stop the wave of change which is not just "Turks", but the Human Race, and a future which remains as always the crossroad for three Continents. proud to be Greek, prouder still if ways could be found to make Greek today Hellenic, enriching to those who will share in it as Persons.
...and as a Cypriot, and a Greek, for Freedom, i would be most Proud, if this same effort as an Individual, for this State, allowed for others, as Persons, to have this Liberty as well. think big kurupetos, if you dare to dream as a Greek and as a Cypriot, think better. what kind of Greek are you representing, what kind of Human? you sound like so many who are "Turks", no balls, just mongers with a dogma, set to plunder on the weaknesses you can turn to hate as though you are immune; sorry i believe in God, i believe in the respect which guides us to make living better, if we are to make life better for ourselves: i am no "Greek", and just like vp i'm rooting for you, too.
