I still insist that this project will never materialize, neither for the water, neither for gas, nor for electricity.
Leaving aside hundreds of technical problems that might arise,the build up costs-expected lifetime of the system-and maintenance/repair costs are too high compared to other solutions.
It would be nice to have 2.5 tons per second of water coming totally free by "Newtonian lordo gravity" from Turkey, without any costs at all, other than laying some pipes.
What the video showed it's just a Hollywood production...

...ah, does everything depend on this one project? water was shipped to Cyprus from Greece, by the same token, water can be shipped by blimp.

...such hauling capacity surely will find work in the projects to follow in and around the Mediterranean, as well as their need to shuttle water.

as a project that shows forsight, innovation and a practical application of technology, i would think, if image is important, this would be attractive.

All I can say to this highly polished footage VP posted is, it reminds me of all the propaganda footage North Korea puts out to it's own people to convince them the country's wealth and prosperity crap when the country is actually starving. ...so the big fear is that the water situation is so mismanaged, some critical truth risks exposure. thus everything has been placed on this venture's success, or they will end up having to buy water from "Greeks", if you will.
