Why advertise, does the world really want to know about a water pipeline before it materialises, there are far more important issues occupying the international stage. If you are so interested the best transparency is visiting the project sites both here and in Turkey and seeing for yourself whats going on but being so blind that would be very difficult for a person like you, I look forward to the day when Erdogan pushes the button that allows the water to flow freely into to the TRNC because that will be the day you and your cronies will be physically sick and reconfirm your stupidity.

Whilst we have to put up with the boring twenty years of broken promises and propaganda of "trnc" and Turkey to bring water to CY through the It's Been Delayed Twice A Year for Twenty Years "KKTC Su Temin Projesi" ... the Republic presses on with its very real programme of water development.

Projects which actually produce water of the nice and real and very wet sort... rather than the damp squib of "KKTC Su Temin Projesi" built on the promissory note of "trnc".

The Fam Gazette brings news that yet another new desalination plant has been completed near the power station at Vassilikos.

"... On 15 July 2013, the plant ran a credibility test which lasted 15 days and was successful as 875,000 cubic metres of desalinated water was produced valued at 720,000 euros. The water was directed to the Southern Conveyor Project.

The unit will have the capacity to produce 63,000 tones of water per day and will be set on standby. The inauguration of the plant will take place soon..."

The Turkish Propaganda Agency, Anadolu have today issued a statement which repeats the rubbish claims of "kktc su termini projesi".

An article which is picked up by a lot of what passes for a press in "trnc" who repeat the article word for word.

Just one old picture from years ago of drinking-straws, no new pictures, no pictures of current and real work and nothing new added ... just keep feeding the Mushrooms the same old repetitive manure... and they lap it up...!!!

75 million cubic meters of water will be transferred annually from Turkey to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus via a pipeline under the sea

ANKARA

(AA) - A new step has taken in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Water Procurement Project connecting Turkey and TRNC via a water pipeline under the sea.
The 80-kilometer long pipeline built 250 metres pendant under the sea will mark a first, Turkish Ministry of Water Works and Forestry said.

A total of 75 million cubic metres of water will be transferred annually from the Alakopru Dam being built on the Anamur-Dragon watercourse in Turkey's Mersin province to Gecitkoy Dam still under construction near Girne in TRNC.

50.3 percent of the 75 million cubic metres of water transferred will be drinking water and the remainder 49.7 percent will be used for irrigation purposes.

Once the project is completed, water need of TRNC, currently suffering from water shortage, will be met for 50 years.

Water transfer is scheduled to begin on March 7, 2014 with the instruction of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. ..."
