This same firm was involved in the supply of real pipe to a real project in Libya.

This was an inland project and involved the supply of similar pipes, but of smaller 100cm diameter rather than 150cm, for a reservoir... a straightforward project; nothing requiring a sea-passage of water over 70 kms.

In spite of another very wet winter and spring, the dams in the "trnc" are only at 54% of capacity and we still have at least three more months of Summer drought to go.

In contrast, the dams of the Republic are 80-90% full and with four desalination plants still on stand-by.

Ah yes, "KKTC Su Temin Projesi" --- the fanciful "project of the century" by "trnc" to bring water through drinking-straws to the Occupied Areas.

Well, after being delayed earlier in the year, the Mushrooms, like Lordo, were promised a start on the cross-sea passage by August... which is a month away.

The press of the Occupied Areas and Turkey, Baycrap etc were full of it earlier in the year, with all the flag-waving, the bands a-playing, the foundation ceremonies, the photo-ops for the high and mighty of "trnc" and Turkey, but for weeks now it has been very quiet.

As we've seen in this thread, all we've had is badly Photoshopped and fictional pickies and some badly drawn cartoons.

No sign of any real progress, indeed no sign of any progress at all, the "trnc" has even gone quiet on expansion of the receiving reservoir in the Occupied Areas at Occupied Panagra.

4-5 weeks to go to make a start...
