Err... below is a vid of what is claimed to be evidence of the start of the construction of the cross-sea passage of "project of the century" or "kktc su temin projesi".

It appeared some weeks ago on the web-site of a Turkish firm known for their big range of plastic plumbing parts for kitchen and bathroom fittings, rainwater guttering etc.

Any expert views on this video please... ???

I'm no expert on videos, but after seeing it few times, this one is a fake on many fronts and will explain my reasons tomorrow.

Well.. it just goes to show just how the mushrooms can be so easily fooled with a dodgy video, one if they stopped to think, was posted on here for good reason... but then again, no good expecting them to stop and think, as they are incapable of thinking for themselves...

OK, Bill, here goes regarding why this video is just a propaganda piece and what we see is nothing but an artists impression of this project, the pipes specially. First of all, the giveaway is the music. Why the nationalistic music and no narrations about the project. Could it be because there is no information to give.

Secondly, it is not a live video of what we see. It is a video of pictures, an artists impressions. The video camera very cleverly moves around the pictures to try and give the illusion that we are actually seeing the real thing live. But what gives this video away the most is, while it is filming this artists impression of a picture, at 1 min 36 sec into the video, a small flag appears from the right side flapping in the wind in a very same repeated animated fashion, when the rest of what we see is just a picture and not the real thing live, so this little flag was meant to give some "life" to the video to try and make it an authentic live pictures. In actual fact, nothing is moving on this video except for one person at 2min into the video, after a still picture of a person not moving for few seconds, the next picture is a person walking far away from the person who was not moving. A little screw up by the video makers. You also see a little animated water movement the right of the walking person but not a ripple in the waters on the left side of the person. It looks like further manipulation by the video of still pictures to give some life to it.

On a project this size, in broad day light, no one is working. Shocking. No boats are moving, no cranes are working, and no wave actions. Further more, most of these pipes are almost floating in the water when they should be at least half sunk in the water, much like tree logs, but no, they are almost sitting on the water, considering how heavy these long pipes are, which brings me to another point. At 2min into the video where the person walking goes out of picture, the video makes a slow sweep of the whole are giving the impression that these pipes are very long, but at 2min 27 sec, from another angle of still picture, the pipes doesn't seem to be that long at all. There are also problems with shadow angles of the walking person, but the only shadow I see of one pipe at the same time as the person, the pipe that has one end out of the water that is resting on some kind of a block in the water. It's shadow is directly below the pipe, but then again, it could also be the reflection of the pipe on the water, easily done as an artist's impression.

The fact that 99% of this video is made up from still pictures and not from a live shooting of the real thing, is what makes the whole video a fake. Besides, do we know where exactly this location is. Why is the whole project kept as top secret. Doesn't Turkey want the world to know about the Project of the Century", for the world to admire Turkey's achievements? Questions, questions, questions, but very little answers.
