You are right.
There is an ancient Greek proverb that says "syn Athina kai hira kinei" Which translates "together with Athina (the goddess) move your hand as well". So we builted enough desalination plants to cover every eventuality. But water from them is costly about 1 Euro per ton. So like you said we mostly depend on some divine will.

Sure its more than enough for the TRNC but the GC would never take our water especially as they know its source is from Turkey, but dont worry Pyro ill give some over the border.

Nothing in life is free, we pay for water now so I dont expect it to be free....as for future growth of the population in the TRNC with no solution theres not much anyone can do.
