Turkey will get TC gas if there is no partition.

Second vital bit, the one fifth of the gas that is proportionally allocated to the TC community might go to Turkey in exchange for the water and the rest, the GC share, sold to the highest bidder?

And the average TC will watch as the GCs get the benefits of CASH for their share, while they, the TCs, get water?

You might be that dumb, but most TCs are probably not.

Lordo, why would Turkey want the, as you call them, tc, share, when they can have it all, and more? "gc gas", as you call it, if such a deal went through, would include gas from Israel, in the least, and Lebanon gas, Syrian, and Palestinian, is as likely.

...the water pays reparations, and it will cement a relationship that Turkey will start with Cyprus, recognising its existence as a State, the water will be "given" to it. Whatever its ulterior purposes, this is its best use.

Just look around you the worrying issues that will dictate how Turkey will make its future move . Russian supplies 60% of gas needs of Turkey which is huge . If they cut this supply this will put Turkey under pressure and she would be having her eye on all the gas resources in Cyprus . I can see bad news for us all in the future . Wars as we all know has been over oil and gas . Who gets the bigger stake gets richer and more powerfull hence why Uk and America destroyed Iraq . It's all over resources. The future does not look good for us . With leaders like erdogan in power anything is possible . He is hell bent on the ideology of the Ottoman Empire returning to its glorious days . He is deranged maniac who seriously believes he is a sultan.

Sultan or not, Turkey is paying Russia for the gas, presumably at world market prices. They can damn well pay for the Cypriot gas too. This is a finite resource, once gone there is no replacing it. It is the duty of all Cypriot politicians to make the best of the resource for all citizens.

The next thing we need to hear now is that Greece and possibly the UK will want dibs because they too have special interests etc etc, it is like the families of lotto winners suddenly appearing with hands stretched wanting handouts.

The events show the wisdom of dealing with Americans over the gas. Let them all argue with the US over it. For a non industrial country like Cyprus what matters is gas revenues for Cyprus and no one else.

there is no reparation to be paid to a country who starts a war rw. if anything reparation should be paid to the tcs for what roc did to them between 1963 and 1974. the water belongs to terggy and they will decide what to do with it.

...what was the sense of the IPC, it is an admission of blame, and redress to be settled. It is Turkey's water, in the sense that they control it, and that by their will it is being used. It is obvious that it is not to relieve thirst. Its best use at this point is its value both symbolic and practical, something so essential to life to secure a respect and a recognition of an ally, Cyprus, the Republic recognised as such.

the purpose of ipc was to do fair exchange. it should also be available in the south. tcs will be glad to exchange their properties. at least the gcs who apply at the southern ipc will not complain of unfair prices. the prices must be market prices. the roc cannot be an ally of terggy becasue your average gc hates terggs to the core. that will not change in a thousand years.
