It's not only about distribution you idiot. It's also about collecting money for ALL the costs involved. How many in the occupied pay any bills be it for electricity water whatever, enlighten the people will you lordo mou. None?

A Turkish official cited ineffective collection of payments and the need for investment in infrastructure in Cyprus as reasons for Turkey’s opposition.

the Turkish side called for the opening of a tender as maintenance, repair and water purification works need expertise, something that the municipalities do not have, according to Turkey, due to financial problems

I'm just wondering if all this talk about which municipality will distribute which water is not just a Red Herring as to why the flow of water has stopped from Turkey, or is the real cause are of technical reasons, like the ones you have stated before? Turks will say anything just to save face!

I beleive the real reasons are technical and have to do with the pipeline itself, rather than the dam. It could be both though. Nothing of the technical things they let out fits in.

Look at it this way Kikapu.
There are thousands of places around the world including the US, France etc in desperate need for such solutions yet nobody made it.
Why, is it because they are stupid?

So is the water flowing or not? The rest is toothpaste as the Greeks say.

Turkey has been promising to pipe water to the north for few decades now, and so, are they just now telling us just when the water has arrived that they are having a dispute as to who is going to handle the flow of the water in the north, therefore, the flow of water from Turkey has been shut down.

Really???

Get back in your pram and shut the fuck up . Your bull shit words will not stop the flow of water .no matter what you say or which you do it will never stop the water flowing . I can easily make negative comments about the EU which is another form of communism .how much did it cost EU to fund your motorways ? You even tried to claim that the North is now part of EU . Your government is governed by Brussels so when you talk you need to talk with some intelligence which for some reason most of you have regressed .

Well your government has been taking orders from another country since 1974, and this seems to have damaged your brain in particular.

Who do you think governs me ? Let's see how intelligent you are

Nikitas wrote:Educational thread this one! We learned that it is possible to have pumps on either end of a 80 km long pipeline with no intermediate pumping stations, how dams settle, how half a billion is cheaper than 50 million, how the Turks do not trust the municipalities of the TCs, but we are expected to rely on them as equal partners, and a host of other interesting things.

Keep it going. As new facts emerge it is starting to read like a thriller. Which in turn makes everyone lose sight of the simplest fact, some people made and will make a whole pile of money out of this project.

No one expects anything from you idiots hence why the north does not rely on you . However talking of reliance . Let's talk some fact and figures here . For example in 2013 the eu funded the south 227 billion euros . The south funded Eu 170 billion in that same year . Have you heard of putting in less and gaining more out of doing nothing . At least Turks work hard unlike you vultures that scrounge off us tax payers in the uk
