...sadly, once this infrastructure, if it is built, is not "new" any longer, it will not be up-kept (, and it will not have been up-kept), but abandoned, sold, being in "private" hands; this is the way it has played out in the past, and in other countries too.
Indeed, it is hardly worth the trouble, except for the fact that there is "no choice", once again; Cypriots, by Turkey, are put into the position of having to take whatever they get.
...it is already 2015, water from this source won't be available for consumption for another few years at this rate. And it remains, a single source for water, since: the existing water table has been abused, and desalination, (with the EU as a partner) was rejected.
...the reality is, the water is worth money as a bulk item, and not otherwise; its transportation is an expense to which the purchaser must apply themselves. If it is "Free", as Lordo says, the confusion would seem to be where its transportation begins. Politically, as things are, it is Turkey's pipeline, and Turkey's water; of Turkey's choices, i think it will be better for Turkey to give it in reparations to all Cypriots, (than to have the job of supplying this water to households, as ratepayers). By the recognition of the Republic, in this manner, with water, as a gift to this State which serves Cypriots as Cypriots ("Greek" or not), and as an apology, accepting blame, identifying a value, this would ring true toward the opportunity for new relations, with Cyprus, Europe, and the World. (...talk about a CBM)
