That aside, the engineering aspect is the interesting part. The pipe laying is a one sided operation, starting from Turkey and extending to the south. And the one ship carrying out the work has left. Was there ever any sign that it was a two sided affair with pipe laying from Cyprus and a join up of the two ends in the middle?
Still mystified why even in the interim period tankers are not used. According to the reports the receiving infrastructure is ready in Cyprus, so water could be put in the receiving pond and utilised now, and that would be a test of the distribution network.
