back to the problem of friction. no matter how much the pressure is reduced by friction forces the dam has a total water head of 163 meters from sea level coupled with 1.5 meter pipes they are using you will find water will go though it like butter. this is the reason why there is no need to pump from the terggish side. in fact they are using the water to generate electricity in anamur.
now here is an example of water transported in pipes 2800 km long.
