Well, firstly it has to be said, and said again, that for the price of this "project", CY could have had several more desalination plants producing nice, wet and real water. A reliable source of water under the control of CYs and not one where Turkey would have its grubby hands on the tap.

Then, the reports in the press of the Occupied Areas this past week are of more delays, delays on delays of the kind we have seen for years with this never-ending Scam of the Century.

The latest delays put down to the weather, and now coming with projections of an alleged completion in 50-60 days time.

At present the fleet of tugs are struggling in winds of 25 knots causing some to seek shelter in the lee of the coast off Anamur.

Turkey could have built desalinators, using tried and tested technology. However, desalinators do not represent the symbolism of the "umbilical cord" and all that crap that goes through the heads of Ankara officials. So they opted for the pipe at several times the cost of even a large desal plant.

In the meantime Israel is exporting water to Jordan, desalinated water.

And it is now November 9, and the tugs are retreating in a force 7 wind complaining of the weather, but passenger ferries are running just fine all over the eastern Med. Go figure.

if you cant tell the difference between a passenger ferry and pipe laying boat i pity you son. perhaps back to school may be in order for you and charlui. it seems terggys health and safety rules are better then yours. go figure, i knew groc was reduced to 3rd world status but i mean bloomin heck not that low.
