Sotos, you confuse two things. Most of the people you refer to as “wanabbees” want justice for Cypriots, they don’t necessarily want to be Cypriot. Many have not even bothered to take dual nationality.

You dismiss our support as if it was of no importance, you need all the help you can get. Besides why would anyone want to be Cypriot, are you so superior, are you the master race, is Cyprus the centre of the Universe?

It's one thing to support Cypriots' efforts to remove the Turkish occupation; but it's another thing to say it's on condition that the Cypriot majority give up their cultural identity and alliance with their EU-sister state, Greece.

I am not the one who started talking about "wanabbees" in this forum :!: "Why would anyone want to be Cypriot?" I don't know... ask Me Ed. What I know is that I am Cypriot and I am Greek and I don't want to be anything else!! We appreciate all the support... but if you are making us to choose between Greece and some people whose parents were Greek Cypriots, themselves say they are not Greek and their children will say they are not Cypriot ... then what do you think we will choose?

To be happy about being a Greek Cypriot, to celebrate your Greek heritage (which you and your forefathers have been safeguarding for hundreds of centuries through language and culture), and to educate yourself about your roots and history and your island's past and traditions are not only your rights, but also your solemn obligation as a Cypriot.

To choose to remain uninformed and ignorant on the majority of Cypriot history between 1192 and 1950. To fill yourself with unfounded pride, and somehow manage to convince yourself that you are the light of the world and your Turkish Cypriot brother is of an inferior culture (whilst being so ignorant as to not open one book about Ottoman culture) is twisted, dark, sickening, and exactly what Turkey wants.

Are all cultures equally civilized?

Are all cultures equally democratic?

Stop the hate.

Let others be ...

let others be, what?? better people because the take bold steps to embrace change for the better?

...i am not so proud of being Greek because "Greeks" choose to sustain an elite which resists the changes they must make in themselves toward a betterment that is Universal; in my opinion, very unGreek.

...i hope Greeks will realise that a Forum for their Expression exists as a Constituency, that this is the step which seperates, in Cyprus, the State from looking at its Citizens as a vast majority being "Greeks" because their adversary as the debate is now framed are "Turks", focusing instead on Cyprus itself, toward its credibility as a Sovereign Representative without distinction or discrimination. if there was a Greek Constituency, recognition for other Constituencies is possible by Territorial Jurisdictions, with an equal opportunity to sustain their distinctions as people. (surely you'll agree that Greek Cypriots will be held in high esteem for this). Cypriots need to fly their Flag because it identifies a betterment to the Principals, as Human Beings, they live by. Nation/State, Person/Individual, Liberty/Freedom: these are central to a Bicommunal way of life; it is not a "Greek"/"not Greek" issue, and as Cypriots this is the commitment we have taken, to define BBF to the benefit of all Mankind.

This a very easy concept it goes like this:

Gc state= constituent state
Tc state=constituent state
Federal government supersedes both states in certain aspects such as: foreign trade, interstate trade, federal taxes...foreign diplomacy/ foreign ministry

The tc state would consist of cantons throughout cyprus.

That's still a partitionist solution and the majority of the GC people won't accept it.
