I don't think it is a directive but a recommendation of the council of ministers who cannot propose law, only the (unelected) commission can do that, and what the LGBT activists are up to is exploiting the wording of existing directives to claim a right to Marriage. This may well be something the European court may have to rule upon, on whether this is what the directives actually say.

I must otherwise admit to siding more with GiG on the aspect of excessive promotion of the LGBT agenda.

And that is the real reason as to why Mr Cameron has invested so much political capital in the cause of “gay marriage”. Although we have not ratified Protocol 12, we have accepted unconditionally Recommendation CM/Rec(2010)5, and undertaken to implement it by June 2013.

As for the LGBT agenda, the problem is that politicians are influenced by single agenda campaign groups like Stonewall (gayers) or ASH (smoking) - all funded by our taxes.

Stonewall has done a fantastic job campaigning for 'Gay Rights', nobody can deny that....

But once they have 'rights' they can't simply disband and call it a day - they'd be unemployed and cut off from their revenue string (mostly taxpayer's hard-earned). So they have to push further and further to justify their own existence (and salary). First it was Civil Partnerships, next Gay Marriage - what next?

And bang on cue!

One.We are not animals.
Second. There are a lot of medical arguments against man's heterosexuality.
For example, there are a lot of differnt streptococus, enterococus (etc) in a man's rectum. In a healthy man there are about 3kg of these *cocus. They are helping us to do residual digestion.
But when these streptococus got into urethra or vagina, they are become big problem (like prostatitis or vaginitis or even commissures with sterility). Only ignoramus may ignore it.

We are not animals. But some people do unacceptable things. Probably we shouldn't repeat these things.
For example, some people are taking drugs. That is not the reason to be an heavy drug user. Isn't it?

Even parent don't want his child got into homosexuality or into prostitution or becomes a drug user. No one.

Also you can not drink with open botles on a street in America. You should put your bottle into a packet. Is it big deal for Americans? I think nope. Noone even discuses it.

The Russia votes to ban propaganda. May I kindly ask what the problem with you with this law? Are going to do propaganda of homosexuallity in Russia?
