If you have no money, don't come. You need at least six month's salary in reserve just to set up basic needs, eat, sound the job market etc. The BBC have had a series of programmes like No Going Back, where almost everyone has seriously underestimated the cost of settling into a foreign country. If you think you need so much, then double or triple it and you will find that you still haven't enough. Maybe bigfatlondonboy will become skinnythinlimassolboy when he finds his money has run out and he doesn't have the means to buy a loaf of village bread.
