Who started this thread? THE TROLL, you!

Erm, btw, you are the only one who ever thought humans descended directly from dinosaurs and that they could interbreed.

Your whole "flawed analysis" centres around the flaws which you make for yourself to analyse - in a flawed manner.

But, you still don't understand "remnant" in the genetic sense.

rem·nant  - noun
1. - a remaining, usually small part, quantity, number, or the like.
2. - fragment or scrap.
3. - trace; vestige: remnants of former greatness.

For example (there are more technical explanations but you have not coped with the basics so far): If a common ancestor has genes to use oxygen, copy DNA, have teeth, have eyes etc etc etc - and it goes on to have 2 babies and one eventually dies, but the other continues to live and breed and you want to obtain the remains/remnants of those common genes - you can look in the organism still living for the remnants which retain similarity depending on the genetic distance. Even in the case of something so little related like a plant, a banana, it's still a high percentage for common genes/characteristics, let alone for a dinosaur. But you seem to think humans are somehow soooo unique!

For an excellent example of flawed analysis you need look no further than the British Press this week...

A report claimed that childhood asthma rates fell dramatically after the English smoking ban was introduced in 2007. The study concludes:

The implementation of smoke-free legislation in England was associated with an immediate 8.9% reduction in hospitalizations for asthma along with a decrease of 3.4% per year.

Read the report itself though and you will see that no such fall took place. The analysis of the report has been deliberately misrepresented by anti-smoking 'charities' and their false claims repeated all over the media without question.

You can read an excellent analysis of the true findings of the report (that there had in fact been no reduction) here...

For a taster, here is the graph used in the report itself to 'prove' the huge decline in Asthma...

This 'Debate' is likely to touch upon the subject of 'Cannibalism' if the last retort is accepted (by 'Stud') as one which is based on fact.

Unless he is prepared to announce (on oath) that he has never eaten one.
