Reports are that many of the sex-workers are attracted by false promises of easy money and are victims of what the protesters are calling "human trafficking".
The protesters are also linking the tragic deaths of two women found dead in night-clubs to the sex-trade.
Reh pezevengis of so called Cyprus Republic! You deal with your own army of Filipino prostitutes filling up your streets in all major towns! At least by having night clubs with strict health check cards and work permit controls by the police, a healthier system exists in the North than the backstreet, filthy hotel room prostitution that goes on in a whore house called Cyprus Republic.
And what "human trafficking" are you talking about?
Many of the Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan etc. workers in such places make special efforts to come over here and work as such, hoping to make money. No one keeps them under lock and key and they are free to fly to anywhere they want whenever they want! If you or the Russian embassy in Cyprus heard of anything to the contrary please show us the evidence now or forever hold your breath!
This shows how much you know about prostitution. We all know is the most ancient trade, and many women do it on their own will. The problem however arises from the rest of those women, it's called human slavery. And you are wrong when you say "they are free to leave anytime they wish"... you know nothing about it my friend, sorry.
In general prostitution, drag trafficking, money laundry etc are all linked together.
It is true there is prostitution in the RoC as well, in fact everywhere in the world.
But from what I observed in the occupied it must have been a significant percentage of the national income. Hence the heading in the newspapers.

Reh bill I really liked the Heading "the pezevenk" state huh?
But I thought pezevenk was the one who sells his sister or wife or close family members no?
