I'm no gun expert, but that looks like a "Saturday Night Special" (Junk Gun) that was used in this alleged assassination attempt. You need to ask the question why this type of gun was used to attempt an assassination, knowing that these cheap junk guns may present a lot of problems in the process, and secondly, if the bullet was fired, with such a small calibre gun, would the bullet even had penetrated the skull? If the "assassin" had my .357 Magnum, I'm sure the outcome would have been much different. Was this really an assassination attempt or some kind of a publicity stunt, or was it to just to scare the shit out of the alleged victim?

The Beeb said it was a 'gas gun', whatever that is.

A Bulgarian man who tried to shoot a gas pistol at the leader of his country's ethnic Turkish political party said on Tuesday that his only regret was that his weapon didn't work.

"I did not intend to kill Ahmed Dogan. I just intended to scare him," Oktay Enimehmedov told a court hearing.
