Our friends aboard the Homer Ferrington drilling rig have been busy over the festive period.
They've been drilling in the Israelli EEZ in the prospect area known as 370 Isahi, which is right next door to the CY Block 12 where, as all will know, the first appraisal well was successfully drilled last year with the Aphrodite 1 Well.
On this occasion the Homer F drilled to 5187m below sea level and the license-holder is saying that ... "significant signs of hydrocarbons' (natural gas) were found in the lower Miocene sands...."
Data will take a few weeks to assess to give an indication of quantum and recovery prospects.
This Israeli appraisal well is in the same geological structure as the CY Aphrodite 1 Well and this new Israeli well is being referred to as Aphrodite 2.

As the chances are very, very good that this Israeli find at Aphrodite 2 is an extension of the CY find at Aphrodite 1, that's to say that there's a common reservoir,... in which case it makes sense to develop the field/reservoir jointly... (presumably in partnership with Noble).
The license-holder for the Israeli find is the Norwegian company AGR (in partnership with some companies in Israel) so can we add Norway to the growing list of countries that have an interest in the CY gas.

The 'trnc' is considering utilizing Lordo, in case they run out of natural gas... His gas supply is inexhaustible!
