What is needed for recognition?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What is needed for recognition?

Postby Viewpoint » Fri Jan 11, 2013 9:19 am

Whay exactly is needed to be recognized as an independant state? If 7 countries take the step to recognize the TRNC then do all the other countries follow, or if the USA decided they wanted to they could easily persuade the rest of the world?

In a nutshell VP, recognition of your so called "trnc" is in the hands of the RoC and the GCs.

if you are right and it is in the hands of the gcs then there is only one way. it has to be won and it has to be won with the barrel of a gun. it is the only thing you swine understand.

that remains to be seen. I am not aware of a single country who was given idependence. it has to be won. All opressors are the same.

That's not entirely true Lordo, what about the Czech Republic and Slovakia and some Carribean Islands.

I don't think killing GCs is going to convince the USA and UK to recognise you.

Turkey does not want the "trnc" recognised. They just give the TCs lip service until the settlers replace the TCs altogether. They want the whole island, specially with the discoveries of natural resources, but that's also going to be a problem for Turkey now because of the EU. Their best hope was the AP in 2004.

We have to keep working hard to show that we are not going anywhere in fact our population growth continues and that the south does not want a solution. We have to increas international diplomacy and think of ways to use this gas find to our advantage, we muct work closely with USA to guarantee the route goes through the TRNC and Turkey giving us more leverage in working for recognition.
