Movement of Turkish Cypriots living in the South Cyprus took the first step to organize TC's living in South Cyprus. They are planning to apply to interior minister of Cyprus....They are aim is to gain back Turkish Cypriots rights pre-1960 consitution.

Are these "20,000" TCs the ones who live in GC homes in the occupied areas but use their own homes in the south for holiday/weekend homes? Methinks there is some something of the "1960 Constitution" about their voting methods already. Yup, the TCs are worth twice as much as any GC.

Their plans are obvious. After turkifying the occupied areas, they now move on to the free areas for a complete turkification of Cyprus.

Well, we shouldn't make the mistake of relying on a single source for our info cos these figures of 17,000 and 20,000 sound excessive... and further, it's only a claim.

Other recent sources give figures of 5,000 and 6,000 which sound more believable.
