Since the two of you deliberately set about de-railing this (rather important) thread, here's some food for thought you thoughtless pair:

Now, back to the unfortunate killing of three unarmed women ...

So two murders then...?

Population is what, about 65 million...? What %'age are black?

And they had to change the law to convict Dobson and Norris...

And your assertion that black people are not safe on the streets of Britain is based on THAT?

Hahahahahaha! How deluded you are!

You DO so make me laugh...

At the moment, the situation is escalating. The Turkish armed forces have conducted air raids in northern Iraq and we will probably hear about that some more from Iraqi officials soon.

Meanwhile, back in Turkey;

Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç wrote: "we" don't want any demonstrations to take place there [referring to the funerals]. Otherwise, our security forces will intervene. Provocations should be prevented,

I hope, but I am not overly optimistic with Erdogan and Co's ability and resolve towards finding peace with the Kurds.

I have already compared the murders to the terrorist atrocities of TMT, but I would not describes the deaths as unfortunate as they are more than that when they clearly involve a vicious malicious act,,t which I utterly condemn as I do every terrorist killing.

Kikapu wrote:The assassination of these PKK members in France may well be designed to lead the investigators to Erdogan's doorstep in Ankara, to derail his attempt to become the new President/Dictator in 2014. The EU and USA would like to see Gül as the next President elected at the ballot box over Erdogan due to his Democracy tendencies and more EU friendly attitude over Erdogan's. What better way to destroy Erdogan's chances than make his government responsible for these murders. Has anyone seen Davutoglu lately? I don't believe he has made a single comment yet on these killings. Why is he hiding from the press?

Looks like it has already started!

Blaming Turkish government for Paris killing ‘tactless,’ PM says

“Accusing [the Turkish] state and government right after the assassinations in Paris is no different than putting an opportunity on a silver platter for the real perpetrators,” Erdoğan said.

The fact no one has owned up clearly points the finger at Turkey.

Who cares who governs 99.9% Islamic Turkey? Their problems are much deeper than which headscarf wearing wife gets photographed the most.

If one acts as a 16th century Sultan and the other as a 21st century European, then it can make a difference.........hopefully!

The French police have actually arrested two Kurdish men who have been detained for 3 days and questioned (still are). The latest information passed to the Turkish police by the French authorities is that the two belong to a faction of PKK who oppose current talks with Turkey. The plot thickens... :D

Kurdish man arrested. Looks like an internal feud as I suggested a few days ago.

Observer, lets not jump to conclusion just yet that this one individual who may have killed the 3 women acted alone and that it was just an internal matter. According to reports, he was known to these women for a long time. No one wakes up one morning and goes and kills people because a) they could, and b) they were bored. It would be like saying Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing JFK. Not likely. Lets see where the investigations will lead to or who else he will implicate. Was he a paid agent by others to carry out these murders, or was it that he was angry for being rejected by the 3 women for his romantic advances towards them?
