Funny I never seen those temperatures in Nicosia during Dec. - Jan.
Now early Sep. that description is getting pretty close.

Shot this small segment today.
In addition to the kid's sleigh slope, the ski lifts were packed to capacity.

What would possess a Cypriot to go skiing, year in and year out?
I mean if it was a fad, the novelty would have worn out a long time ago.

Which brings to question the Cypriot ancestral linage.

You know you live where there's a proper winter when you buy one of these.

I use it for ice fishing.

Do you hear about the Swedish-Norwegian Ice fishing competion?

One of the teams was doing very well indeed - pulling in hundreds of fish.

The other team were getting nothing...

ultimately the team leader wandered over to see if he could find out how the winning team were managing it...

He walked back and told hs team the following

"Those crafty B's have cut a hole in the ice....."
