New Years Resolution.

Postby Schnauzer » Tue Jan 01, 2013 10:29 pm

Happy New Year Folks.

Having just heard of the 'Fiscal Cliff' fiasco (courtesy of the USA) obviously designed to initially instill fear into the general populations of both the USA and Europe, yet subsequently lulling them into a false sense of security by informing them that everything will be fine a little later.

Whilst almost simultaneously, David Cameron assures everyone that the UK is "Heading in the right direction" :shock ......... 'The Cliff perhaps?'

Henceforth, I hereby resolve to view ALL political statements and manoeuvres with increased scepticism.

To paraphrase 'Tiny Tim'..............................."God Save Us One And All!"

Yes... as a life-long political radical, have always had a very sceptical view of frigging politicians, so much so that it's gonna be really diff to be even more sceptical... but will join you in resolving to try.

Happy New Year Schnauzy.

Yup, all maneuvered to get the stock exchanges going up and down, up and down, so that bankers can carry on making profits from gambling and inflated interest rates from them who they have demonised as lazy, tax evaders that just want to pick olives.

I'll join you in being cynical about politicians and add that I am disappointed in how many people (deeply prejudiced) are willing to do the bankers' dirty work for them by turning against the poor people from a beleaguered nation.

- A happy cynical and healthily sceptical new year to you, Schnauzer, and everyone else. :)

Amazing!

I'd just read this and immediately thought of you...

Then came in here and there you are in all your conspiratorial glory.....

Daniel Greenfield wrote:The cult of the left believes that it is engaged in a great apocalyptic battle with corporations and industrialists for the ownership of the unthinking masses. Its acolytes see themselves as the individuals who have been "liberated" to think for themselves. They make choices. You however are just a member of the unthinking masses. You are not really a person, but only respond to the agendas of your corporate overlords. If you eat too much, it's because corporations make you eat. If you kill, it's because corporations encourage you to buy guns. You are not an individual. You are a social problem....

Unfortunately I am unable to appreciate your analogy since my home (in Cyprus) is situated high up in the mountains.

Best Wishes for 2013 to you and your family.
