It seems everybody has missed my question. So which one of the 2 excuses for wanting taksim was always a lie? The first one, the second one, both?

Neither. Do you think that you can break a vase and then try and glue it back together...as you have seen from the glue(negotiations) it will never make the vase a whole again and neither side is happy with it...enosis changed Cyprus forever.

Sorry but you have to clarify what the vase in your example represents. It cannot represent 2 things at once.
Besides I don't agree with you that the negotiations are meant to glue a broken vase. I think they are more like putting back the missing 4th Engine of the Airbus

How can you put a missing engine in a plane that has crashed, you have reconstruct the plane (eg AP) and then place the new engine in it, to have any chance of that plane taking off again.

The vase represent Cyprus broken and smashed by enosis resulting in a counter movement taksim that divided the island, the damaged vase is whats left today.

The plane is running it's called RoC

I think we already agreed that the Tcs wanted taksim because of the dangers they feared from Enosis. That was the FIRST EXCUSE.
What is the excuse today for wanting 2 separate states?

You can not take back the action (enosis) that pushed the vase over the edge (division), all you can do is try and make a new vase or glue the old one together, what you suggest is we glue and patch up the old one being the "RoC"....but this vase has pieces missing namely the TCs.

There are many reasons for 2 separate states, eg no desire to live together, language, relgion, fear, discrimination, 38 years, mistrust etc etc. Where do you wanna start?

So this brings us to the conclussion that both excuses were either a lie or a pretext or both.

How did you exactly arrive at that conclusion?

Because as soon as the first excuse stopped being a possibility you found another and another and another. Look at how many you wrote above. In fact those are the current excuses of your subordinate administration.

Why do you try and ignore what I raise? you take the easy route instead of dealing with the problem. Your vase is broken how do you think you can rebuild it? ignoring its fractured, broken and missing pieces will not resolve anything.
