And Eoka was against everybody who wanted Taksim. So your point is?? That he was right?

I respect the man because he ACKNOWLEDGED he was wrong like the Eoka men were wrong by playing the game of someone else like stupid idiots. This is what the man said. He also said that if the Cypriots wanted liberation from the British they should of have cooperated. Please read more carefully what he said. You have totally missed the essence of his message

It was also his belief that enosis was the root of the Cyprus problem and that without it the island would have been united today.

Oh really? Where does he say that?
What he actually says is this:

Code: Select all
That is how we took on the trouble in Cyprus. When we saw ourselves as Greek and Turkish

Which is exactly what I said before.

You are just jumping into conclusions without caring to read carefully the mans opinion.

Perhaps he was.the fact is Cyprus became independent and you gifted 37% of it to Turkey. Next thing down the road, Turkey will extinguish you and replace you with settlers.Well done.

Thank you for admitting you gifted 37% of Cyprus to Turkey. And then you have the nerve to accuse Eoka that it attempted to gift it to Greece.
You hypocricy has no limits
