Right, a BBF with the right content. It is to my understanding that it will still be democratic at a federal level and not a a VP style 50% share 50% "political equality"
For a start such a BBF solution would be fine for me, in the long run it could even end up to a Unitary state.
maybe I started here, and in my haste. so a unitary state is the primary preference where in effect the TC's can run for president, can do anything a GC can but on merit. I dont say ethnic minority to carry any negative connotations. The whites in South Africa are still classed as an ethnic minority, the maronites and latin Cypriots are classed as the same, no?

Perhaps you are younger than me but I know first hand we had problems with the maronites who for god sake they were only 1-2%. I can tell you first hand that there was a MASSIVE positive discrimination for the maronites to the degree that almost all of them got jobs in the Government or in the Bankser.

Yes, I am aware, no one is saying to treat them as if they dont exist, the TC's will get their level of autonomy and seats in government etc,. Their numbers are also dwindling so what is a realistic solution? they are a minority in the north too. We all know, VP and Lordo etc included, that Cypriots can live side by side. It has been witnessed in other countries where the conditions are right to cultivate it. This is why I get pissed sometimes when I read VP, Lordos and some of the other comments here, and I think that they just hate GC's and they have motives that will negatively discriminate against them in Cyprus. Then there is the impression I get from Eroglu and the puppet master in Ankara. Its not good. GC's have much more reason to be concerned in my opinion.
