This can then open the flood gates to other forms of legal and economical discrimination which in essence creates a fully functional apartheid for the TC's.

So the USA Belgium and Switzerland (Confederation) are all aparthied according to you.

No maximus I totally disagree with you. How on earth shall we go from today's situation to a minority/ethnic group status for the TCs?
Anyone who advocates such a position is actually looking to solidify the division and the results of the Invasion.
For me it would be fine to have a BBF with the right content and I thought this was your demand also when you were saying you do not want conditions of apartheid. It is the confederation that causes conditions of apartheid not a Federation.
For a start such a BBF solution would be fine for me, in the long run it could even end up to a Unitary state.
In my opinion Cyprus was always Bi communal, and can stay bi communal for ever without any serious problems, in fact it could become a model for other similar cases.

Let us for a moment accept the theory that an 18% (this is the officially known percentage of TCs not the 15% you said) can only be treated as a simple minority like e.g the maronites who were once about 2%. If you make a simple search you will see that whereever in the world this was the case they had HUGE problems. All minorities have problems you always need some positive discrimination for them to balance the situation.That positive discrimination may well include political positions too. Perhaps you are younger than me but I know first hand we had problems with the maronites who for god sake they were only 1-2%. I can tell you first hand that there was a MASSIVE positive discrimination for the maronites to the degree that almost all of them got jobs in the Government or in the Banks.

For Christ sake even the stupid Turks finally realized they can't continue treating their Kurds as if they don't exist, haven't you heard they are negotiating with Ocalan in his prison to find a solution -most probably autonomy?
