Interesting move, the financial problems I predicted for the south and everyone (GCs+1) denied is starting to hit hard, they cannot stop the services all together as this would have internaitonal reprecussions but bring about a charge is not solely for the TCs but all those including those living in the south and under the poverty line.
My guess is, all Cypriot citizens living in the free areas of the RoC will be given free health care. The article states 100,000 in the RoC will also have to pay in the future, along with the TCs living in the "trnc". The 100,000 could well be all foreign nationals, but TCs living in the RoC will continue receiving free health care. TC's not living or working in the RoC will be denied free health care in the RoC, just like me as a British citizen living abroad does not qualify to receive free health care in the UK.
Is this discrimination allowed in the EU? is this the democracy, equality and human rights you constantly refer to?
So what are you saying, that the RoC should provide free health care for all the TCs living and working outside the areas it controls?
Where does discrimination, democracy, equality or human rights play any part in this?
It is Turkey's responsibility to provide the TCs with everything they need as an occupying power in the areas not controlled by the RoC.
Again you prove what a real hypocrite you are, on the one hand you claim TCs are "RoC" citizens because they have claimed passports yet on the other you do not want to take on the responsiblity of providing such services for its citizens. Isnt democracy treating all its citizens equally? yet you discrminate against those that live in the north or because they are TCs. What I claim is if the "RoC" is going to charge those under the poverty line then it will accross the board equal, applicable to all its citizens regardless of ethnic origins that includes 14% of the GCs who will also have to pay, please take not I am not saying TCs should not pay.
And I'm saying all RoC citizens will be treated equally with all those living and working in the RoC where it is under the control of the RoC's government, otherwise I should be able to get free health care in the UK also just by arriving in the UK, just because I'm a British Citizen, even though I haven't lived or worked in the UK for many many years. Do you know what the UK will tell me, "pay up pal"! Are you going to say ALL Cypriots with RoC citizenship's around the world should be able to just come to Cyprus and demand free health care even though they live and work abroad? Isn't the same situation with the TCs not living in the RoC controlled areas? Where is the hypocrisy in that?
In any case, shouldn't you be celebrating, that now the "trnc" will be recognized by the world as per your claim for years, should the RoC cut any services from the TCs?
