Who are you to judge who suffered more?

This is a simple fact my friend.

Greek Cypriots had 6000 dead within days during the invasion and some 100s during the conflict with TCs. How many victims did Turkish Cypriots had over a decade?

Greek Cypriots have 200.000 refugees, most of them still living in refugee housing. Turkish Cypriots on the other hand grabbed in the north twice as much as they left behind in order to materialize their partition dream and their pseudo state awarded them "titles" to our land.

Turkish Cypriots suffered for 1 decade at most. The occupation lasts already for more than three decades.

Add in the rapes and the other atrocities that the Turkish army performed against Greek Cypriots at a rate and cruelty never seen before in Cyprus since the Ottomans.

All that without counting the CENTURIES that Turks in Cyprus used Greek Cypriots as their subjects, butchering them if they asked for freedom.

So yes, the suffering of GCs is 100 times more. GCs had a lot more victims over a much longer period of time.

Apparently some TCs suffer from selective memory loss. All they can remember is that one decade and they forget all the centuries before that and all all the decades after that.

Yes, the GCs are not angels and in that 1 decade they committed several crimes against TCs (TCs with TMT also committed crimes against GCs in the same period by the way). However GCs regret that part of their history and are now committed to human rights and the rule of law.

On the other hand TCs continue as we speak the illegality and the violations of our human rights. Isn't it time to stop the excuses and allow for once human rights to be applied in Cyprus?

ANYHOW...back on topic....

Thanks Devil.... Suprisingly the govt dept was EXTREMELY helpful, and sent me A LOT of info on the topic. Rang up, told them that I was interested, and they basically said, I was welcome to come and pick it up for free, and browse the other information they had, or alternatively, they will send to to me via Akis Express for 1.25pound.

I have wateched both the TC online video, and the CY Govt video....both are very interesting.

Also ordered "Attila '74 - The Rape of Cyprus"..which should be here on Monday.

I guess visting Varosha has really got me intrigued......
