when i first buy my flat in cyprus i buy my tv from there because an english one would need something changing inside.

is this still the same or will a UK purchased flat screen work without modifications

When you first came the problem was the different PAL TV transmission standards...

I think the UK used PAL B and Cyprus PAL G or whatever...

However, these are analogue signals and Cyprus is now digital - you will need a digital TV or set-top-box to watch terrestrial TV here.

I believe that the digital transition standards in the UK and Cyprus are the same - I'd be most surprised if a modern, digital TV was incompatible.

Your question would’ve been more meaningful had you asked…

“Will my ABC brand and XYZ model TV work?”

Because God knows what kind of TV you’ve got! :roll:
