I hope you will all have a fantastic time, but remember if you are going out and you drink then please leave the car at home! so many people are killed because of drink driving and this is the time of year where it becomes more likely for this to happen. some will believe that its ok to drive just down the road because they live close by or maybe just slightly over the limit.

I think it is sad when people like you post on the forum to push the government's drink driving limits on us...![]()
So brainwashed have we been by various government and pressure group campaigns that we not only obey the limit but lecture others on how bad it would be to drive 'over the limit'...
The 'limit' is an arbitrary 'one size fits all' level that has no correlation in real life between the amount that has been consumed and the ability of a person to drive...
It would be far better if the police arrested people driving erratically rather than impose road blocks that stop everybody, hide outside pubs and stop people before they even drive off or wait for 'offenders' after a tip off...
What a sad state the country has become...

A friend of mine who used to frequent a particular pub on a regular basis, the customers of which were for some reason the target of two particular police officers, was stopped the next morning: the police mentioned that they knew she had been in that pub the night before, and asked her to blow in the machine.
She passed.
Mind you, she would have passed the night before too as she did not drink alcohol.....

It's not arbitrary but an average. It's best if people drunk no (zero) alcohol before driving and that includes not driving when waking up the next morning after a heavy night.
There's a lot to be said for banning people who take sleeping tablets from driving before noon as well!
Your actions have consequences for the lives of other people and so you need to be regulated!
Merry Pagan/Christian celebrations, one and all.

Exactly!
Two policemen, acting on a tip off who should have been out catching criminals or people driving erratically for whatever reason....
What is it with people wanting to ban everything these days...?
