what is new? he is not saying anything special.

He may want the Turkish armed forces to leave and I applaud him for this but he does not go on to inspire me any further. I actually have a negative impression of his involvement so far regarding finding a 'solution' to Cyprus's problem. He was negotiating and making proposals along similar lines as the Turks.

Nobosy is stating the Turkish Army will not leave, they will once we agree a solution, the problem Maxi is no solution will satisfy us both thats why to date any attempt at finding middle ground has failed. You have to come to the table understanding that you have an equal partner and that BBF means you cannot dictate or impose your will on other partner otherwise the current situation will remain indefinately.

Its flushed now whats your point? The type of attitude you display is exactly what I am referring to, your response has rubber stamped the fact that you do not want a partnership you want to dominate and exploit, you feel this is your god given right and that GCs are the chosen ones, well Im sorry to be the one to burst your bubble but you need a good shaking so that you understand the TRNC is not going to dissapear as long as you approach the situation with your current viewpoint, you need to change to a degree where you understand what BBF is and how it means a partnership..

Where does it say in the BBF that it is a "partnership". "Political Equality" of the states does not mean partnership. That is something created in the AP by Turkey and not in the BBF, and we know how far the AP went. Perhaps it is you who needs to change your attitude, so that TCs see themselves as Equal Citizens and not equal partners. There are no so called "equal partners" between any ethnic groups in any country. It is not even possible to have one and make it work.

Here VP,

This about sums up the situation and there are no prizes for guessing which of the two characters resembles "your side", metaphorically speaking of course.

Who is your side, because it is not the TCs who are holding on to the north, but Turkey?

Ergogan has been crying lately how he wants to be in the EU, now that the fantasy of him becoming the "Supreme Leader" of the Arabs has failed big time. In the Arab world, you need to be much more clever and merciless than Erdogan can ever muster, like the new dictator Morsi of Egypt. The more Turkey takes control of the north and the more she wants to be in the EU, the more the RoC will just sit and wait for Turkey to make the trade of the north for the EU. Turkey has nowhere else to turn, but to the EU. She just needs to accept it is going to be the EU's way, or the Highway!

look what happened to the guy on the left, in the end he wasn't holding on to anything.

I now believe that Turkey will ever join the EU because she just doesn't fit.
