No disrespect to the Turkish Cypriots but those who want to live in the Republic of Cyprus can. It is still to be seen from those Turkish Cypriots that live in the occupied areas who want the Turkish armed forces to leave, what they want in a "solution".

In my personal opinion, given the research I have done on the so called Cyprus problem, the Turkish troops and settlers have to leave. I dont like to look at events as good or bad, or positive or negative because everything reverts back to the mean, everything is neutral over time. shit turns into sugar and every cloud has a silver lining. Do you now what the silver lining is for the Republic of Cyprus?

How naive to the point of stupidity you are, the old GC chestnut of get the new generation TCs and Turkish Army to leave and everything will be fine, we can do as we wish, forcing our will on the TCs...aint never gonna happen.

You got to laugh.

Turks getting on their high horse trying to justify their criminality against another nation for over 38 years.

It's just that all their arguments are just pathetic. They lock out 180,000 refugees from their lands and possessions and yet have the audacity to accuse the RoC that it can't be trusted to share whilst still collecting RoC pensions, and using the RoC's Health System free of charge.

And yet, the simple fact remains. International Law is with the RoC. It is recognised and a sovereign UN member just like Afghanistan and Iraq. Even the world's superpower the US recognises the territorial integrity of Afghanistan and knows how futile any continued occupation of the abovementioned is against International Law and that they too must eventually leave. Yet Turkey thinks it can remain in Cyprus. This is just like a house of cards that will come crumbling down.

No matter what instigated the Turkish Invasion ("intervention"), whether that was the Greek Coup or the atrocities at Sandilar (even though they occurred from militants after Turkish first invasion), there still can be no justification for 38 years of occupation. The 1960 RoC constitution precludes this as well as many Geneva Statutes.

So whether they like it or not, their little fake wonderland within our sovereign territory cannot exist forever.

No, Turkey is here to take advantage of the natural resources and the geographical position of the island, plus the turkilization of the island which will favor them in taking advantage of the south Mediterranean resources.

"cannot be trusted to share"

oh the irony
