The church cannot solve the crisis

http://www.cyprus-mail.com/archbishop-c ... s/20121120

“It should not even cross your mind that the church - with its property - can change things. There are others in Cyprus who are richer than the church,” he (the archbishop) said.

really? someone is richer than the church in the cyprus?

someone is 'richer' than this earthly agent of our lord jesus christ who - according to mark (10:25) - said:

"it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god."

someone is better positioned to 'change things' than this earthly agent of our lord jesus christ who - according to matthew (19:21) - said:

"sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven."

who? who? in god's name tell me who is better positioned to solve the crisis, if not the tax avoiding earthly agent of his only begotten son?

Nicos and Nicolakis & family are richer, to name a few.

But filthy atheists, like you, can only think of the church as the treasure source that has to be depleted. For obvious reasons...

... and then consider the masseeeeeeve contribution this Tax Avoiding Church has made to the Modern Day Liberation Struggle.

By far the largest private landowner in the Occupied Areas with dozens and dozens of Churches, a cemetery in every village as well as huge investments in unrelated to religion land and property holdings.

Its Churches looted, desecrated and turned in to Animal Mandres, Hashish Dens, Gangster-run Casinos and WhoreHouses filled with Naked Eastern European Girls .

... and what leadership has this Church shown in the Struggle? How many times has this organisation dragged Turkey's ass before the Courts of CY and Europe when it's rich enough to have done it a thousand times?

None!!! ... Absolutely bugger all not once...!!!

Thx for the help CY Church.

I heard a rumour that they were trying to persuade the Archbishop to fast for a month so that they could use the food he didn't eat to feed the starving masses of Africa, but I don't believe he will do it!

The Church - as an organisation a construct of man, the movements of which may seem myterious even to God, who as portrayed by the Chuch is likewise often made in Man's image. I don't claim God does not exist, I am agnostic on that point, but I think it is presumptious for any man to speak in the name of God.

More excuses to bash our history and our identity!

The government (aka the demos) are richer than any institution and it's up to us to get rid of the Turks (if money alone could do it).
