This is a story that's been running for some weeks and which has contributed to the political chaos on the wrong side of the cease-fire line.

There were allegations that the "pm" of the Occupied Areas, a chap with the name of Kushit, or something like that, had rigged his election votes to keep his leadership of the fascist nationalist ubp party and hence continue to serve as "pm"

In an interim decision, what passes as a "court" in the Occupied Areas has found against him and ruled that Kushit is suspended from leadership of the Illegal Settler's and Ultra-Nationalist ubp party.

This is a joke, surely? An illegal 'court' serves judgement on an illegal ‘prime minister’ of an illegal 'state’.

The 'trnc' should just rename itself 'LaLaLand’. It might get more respect that way.

of course he is. he is the one with an eye condition and slightly chubby just like his father.

this reminds me of the 70 and the 80s when the gcs were terrified to attend negotiations with the tcs as it may be seen as recognition. that little phobia cost us 3 decades of negotiations and see what a mess it has caused. even hand over of varosa was refused despite the fact that the only pre-condition was that they attend the negotiations, no result necessary. i see the phobia of recognition still exists today. who cares, what difference does it make whether you recognise them or not, how does it help the solution. a chunk of the country is being handed over to the turks on a plate with cranberry sauce included and you still preoccupy yourself with recognition and extra helpings of curry. these people are elected fair and square. you have to negotiate with them whether you like it or not. when it comes to negotiations though can we have a change this time. can you send somebody who is interested in negotiating for a solution acceptable to both communities in good faith and will undertake to support the said solution with his heart, not just his arse. The whiff of northerly winds are unbearable. spray something will you.

A third of the occupied zone's land mass and Varosha back in exchange for a Turkish apartheid regime in a northern constituency is no solution. Turkeys only trick is to make the Greek Cypriots accept it through blackmail, half-truths, threats and lies.

Never mind your version of (history), look at today, what is happening in the now. Propositions from the Turkish side are completely repugnant and disgraceful. They are illegal and trample on all fundamental and human rights of the Greek Cypriots. The Turkish side wants a tool to oppress, persecute and suppress the southern constituency behind a wall of Turkish fire. This rabid way of thinking, which is obvious to the rest of the world, is the absolute abomination of the Turkish Cypriots and Turkey by large.
