Oil slick watch:

Oil spill threatens the coast of occupied Famagusta bay

According to Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris the oil spill, which was caused by the AKSA electrical power station, started to threaten the coast of occupied Famagusta bay. The coast at the Bogazi port in occupied Trikomo village was covered yesterday with pieces of petrol tar from the oil spill.

The Fam Gaz provides an update on the worst environmental disaster to hit CY...

The coast Occupied Boghazi is reported to "covered with pieces of petrol tar" as the oily mess heads towards Occupied Famagusta.

The report also gives an insight in to the amateurish attempts by the Rubbish Regime of "trnc" to clean up the spill with a photo of casual labourers trying to tackle the mess with no gear and no protective clothing...

Its because our lot from the Republic have gone to help them Bill, now they are probably thinking that we will clean up their mess.

The sad and scary things is, is that they do not recognise or show any signs of remorse for the shit they have done here.

^^ That did make me chortle....

Seriously, this is a total feck up, and is an extremely concerning issue.

If its the '' largest environmental disaster the occupied areas have faced '', why can't they just swallow their a*hole pride and allow in, those who can do a good expert job of cleaning this filth out of the ocean?

Sept/October is turtle breeding season in Karpas, and this half cocked clean up is going to seriously impact on that.
