Talk about the shit literarily hitting the fan…

GR, well as it is intended, this is just another useless report with no consequences. For as long as the Turks are allowed to get away with non compliance on everything they do, there is no incentive.

When the EU starts to take serious actions then they can be respected and commended, otherwise they are just pissing in the wind, justifying their own miserable existence.

In short, another crock of shit report.

Sounds quite familiar with how the Greek Cypriots have been utilising EU funds over the past decade! Non complience with everything and all that! I think the EU is already dripping with Greek and Greek Cypriot piss!
Who gives a shite about the measly 1.5 million EUs when Turkey has been spending 100 times as much every year to support TRNC economy - which, as it happens is currently a lot more dynamic than the so called Republic down South! Say whaaaaat???

My ancestry goes back more than 400 years of TC in Cyprus, and I was born in Nissou more than half a century ago. YOU are the gypsy settling Greek vandal who had arrived here or was born a bastard to one of the tens of thousands of Greek mainland soldiers given Cypriot citizenship during the 1960s by Makarios! And do not ask for credible sources I am not your teacher - lift your head and look online for some good information - it is all in there...

Would you not think the recent and current economic crisis + poverty in South Cyprus in itself a good enough reference for how the GCs cannot be trusted to manage their economy correctly with EU funds? The drastic measures imposed on you by EU and taken by your banks - are they not good enough to support my statement? :o Wake up reh!

1.5 million EUs??? "little thing make little minds happy" as the saying goes!

...despite the ugly photo, Cyprus has the cleanest beaches in Europe. more importantly, the garbage is not institutionalised incompetence, as it is in the north. what is clear is that you see the land as something that is "yours" as opposed to something you are responsible for; it's as if there is no concept of stewardship, as though your children and their children will not look back because they will never exist, as though the living live forever, as though the future is of no importance beyond what can be plundered now; how vp, does this make you so proud to be a "Turk"?

Now another problem is being reported in the press of the Occupied Areas.

Following the heavy rains of a couple of weeks ago, water has pooled in the rubbish-strewn area of the "industrial zone" in the Occupied Part of Nicosia, which has led to an infestation of flies and mosquitoes which has made life pretty uncomfortable for many up there.

Here's a picky of attempts by workers of the "municipality" trying to bring the situation under control with spraying equipment...
