It has more to do with the mistrust we feel for each other and the balance the Turkish army plays in keeping the peace, without them you would attack us and we you, we would be back to how it was pre 1974, you being the majority and recognized part of Cyprus need to win over and gain the trust of the TCs to make them see that union with GCs is better than continuing with Turkey, to date you have failed miserably to win over other human beings who you cliam are Cypriots.

In reality the majority of the TCs want to unite with the GCS to GET RID OF TURKEY. Although Tthere is a degree of fear from the past, the majority of TCs will fly saucers at any solution that will reunify the country on a true federal level.

To get back to the important matters of Rubbish and Sewage that the CYs living under "trnc" have to put up with...

The situation with the Rubbish in the Occupied Part of Nicosia is not being cleared as quickly as VP would have us believe. it is being very sloooooowly cleared with delays still being caused by lack of maintenance and insurance for "municipality" vehicles. Six weeks into the New Year and the workers have still not been paid the "13th salary" as per their contracts.

The situation with overflowing sewage continues and it is now revealed that a stream in Occupied Konyeli (suburb of the Occupied Part of Nicosia) has been effected for the last 6 months...!!!

Residents and environmental health officers are naturally worried about the impact on public health and locals complain of the bad odours coming from the stream. The unofficial muhktar for the town declined to be interviewed by the press up there.

Here's a picky of the open sewer in Occupied Konyeli from today as to what the CYs of the Occupied Areas get from "trnc" ...

Turkey will never allow a settlement to take place to satisfy these TCs, Pyro. If that were to happen, Turkey would have lost her trump card to try and get into the EU. No, Turkey will walk over these TCs and trade them and the north to get herself into the EU when ever that might happen. RoC as an EU member and a veto power over Turkey's EU membership plans, Turkey will eventually give up on the TCs and the north for her to become an EU member, assuming she will first reform herself to EU standards that is.

but the real shame is that she does not want to go any further. joining a bunkrupt entity is not realy necessary. sell them the cheap goods without having to contribute to the greek or greek cypriot economy. now thats what i call a result.

Dear VP,

Regret to inform you that there are reports in the press of the Occupied Areas today that the leader of the CY workers of Lefkosa "municipality" is not happy.

The cheques of the "municipality" are still bouncing. The "council" have been banned from writing any more of their rubber cheques.

The "municipal" worker's provident and social security fund is still missing some 40 Million TL in contributions.

The CY workers are still owed their 13th salary and have not been paid any arrears of pay since mid-January.

There is no money to pay this month's salaries.

Please help your "country" by doing your bit for "trnc" and volunteer the use of your garden for the rubbish bags that are now expected to re-appear on the streets of the Occupied Part of Nicosia.
